PURPOSE
adidas is in search of 2 passionate, hard-working individuals to join our Retail Back Office team. Reporting to the Retail Director, our Merchandising Planners play an integral role in maximising profitability of the Pacific Own Retail and eCom channels through building and driving our commercial strategies.
Key Accountabilities
- Work with the Retail Director and Global Retail CoE (Centre of Excellence) in shaping the market merchandising strategy.
- Manage and approve Open-To-Buy (OTB) of the market, within defined portfolio.
- Drive the framework for key promotional activity and analysis techniques (proactive and reactive).
- Contribute to a set of key merchandising reports that help evaluate business goals and ensure communication to key stakeholders.
- Deliver best practice end-to-end in season management including management of best sellers and worst sellers, in season stock cover management, in season reactivity and sales to space management.
- Be aware and contribute to improvements in Allocation and Replenishment (A&R) techniques.
- Work jointly with Store Operations and Store Environments to ensure grading/option plan is in line with space management (pre-season).
- Deliver the optimal flow of merchandise including fulfillment of product/marketing introduction, deadlines/capacity planning.
- Review and action, fact-based category input and feedback for key stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with Retail Marketing, Store Environments and Store Operations and our cross-functional business partners.

- SAP experience preferred
- Advanced user of MS Office
Requisite Education & Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualifications in business, ideally with marketing and sales focus or equivalent professional experience
- Retail Merchandising experience
