Job Purpose:
The Field Visual Merchandiser is responsible for the planning and execution of the company’s visual presentation with an assigned district. The Field Visual Merchandiser accomplishes these tasks through solid partnership with the District Manager, driving the store visual team to execute their job duties and creating a fun, challenging and rewarding culture.
Deliverables:
- Responsible for the overall leadership, visual merchandising and display presentation, fixture layout, and visual operation within an assigned district
- Actively coaches and develops store visual teams in order to achieve the highest potential through hands-on training
- Collaborate with District Manager to integrate both operational and visual objectives; support the hiring/training of employees, conduct store visits to drive a consistent visual brand among stores
- Deliver a strategic training platform that will build visual merchandising and display skills within the store visual merchandisers and retail teams
- Conduct store visits to drive a consistent visual brand among stores and ensure that visual directives are read/interpreted in a consistent manner; utilize Store Visit Reports to provide feedback on overall store visual presentation
- Ensure that all visual displays are clean, presentable, in good working order and in proper positioning/composition to drive store sales
- Provide a comprehensive focus on Visual Display and Seasonal Installations, ensuring all launches are set up as per corporate directive
- Ensure all stores are maintaining proper fixture layouts for all of the stores; report all fixture, mannequin, prop and marketing needs and issues to corporate ensuring all is rectified in a timely manner
- Execute and support company business objectives to support the district and company; communicate with HQ on any additional feedback from store level initiatives
- Leads all store employees to meet Company brand presentation and standards and represent as the District’s expert on visual merchandising standards; must be “in the know' of current visual marketing trends in the market place
- Analyzes sales and merchandise to identify and interpret business opportunities for each store, customer, and climate
- Participates in store openings and store floor-sets as needed
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:
- Must have at least 2+ years of multi-store visual merchandising/installation and store operations experience
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Merchandising, Design or a similar function preferred
- Strong organizational, planning, prioritizing, interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
- Must have strong merchandising skills and a strong understanding of fashion/trends in all markets
- Must have experience in mannequin styling and display
- Must be willing and able to move ladders, fixtures, etc.; must be willing and able to climb and stand atop a ladder
- Must be able to travel and work a flexible schedule to conduct installations outside of standard working and retail hours
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
